Dear Creators,

We have identified an underlying issue in YouTube's reporting system, which we rely on to accurately calculate your earnings from Shorts music usage.

Even though creators are properly tagging our music in their Shorts within the YouTube app, these videos are not consistently appearing in the reporting data provided to us through the YouTube CMS.

To ensure this wasn't an isolated case, we reached out to several well-established companies in the industry, who have all independently confirmed that they are encountering the same problem.

This means that we effectively do not have visibility into how payments should be attributed for the music used in your videos, and therefore have to delay the upcoming May payout until we get clarity on the situation.

We are taking this matter very seriously and have escalated this directly to YouTube. Currently, we are awaiting their response and a resolution plan.

We understand this delay is inconvenient and sincerely apologize. As soon as we know more from YouTube, we will provide further updates.
